Stamper Addon

The Stamper Addon watermarks downloaded PDFs with the reader's identity. Every page of the downloaded copy carries their name, email, IP, or any text you choose — so leaked or shared files trace straight back to whoever downloaded them.

What it adds

  • Per-user watermarks on downloaded PDFs.
  • Watermark fields: name, email, IP address, timestamp, custom token, or any combination.
  • Position controls: top, bottom, diagonal, center; opacity, font size, and rotation.
  • Repeat pattern for diagonal tiled watermarks across the full page.
  • Trigger options: stamp before download begins, or generate stamped copies on demand via the API.
  • Forms integration: pull the reader's name and email from a Lead Capture form (with the Lead Capture Addon) and use those values on the stamp.

Installation

  1. Download the addon zip from your account.
  2. Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → upload → activate.
  3. Activate the license under FlipBooks → License.

Requires the main TNC FlipBook 3D plugin.

How to use

Open a FlipBook, go to the Stamper tab in the metabox, and configure:

  1. Enable stamping on download — toggle on.
  2. Watermark fields — choose which identifiers to include (name, email, IP, custom text).
  3. Style — opacity, font size, color, rotation.
  4. Placement — single position or repeated tiled pattern.
  5. Save.

When a reader downloads the FlipBook, a stamped copy is generated on the fly and served to that reader only.

For global defaults, configure under FlipBooks → Settings → Stamper.

FAQ

Does this slow downloads down? Stamping happens server-side and is cached per download token. Large PDFs may add a second or two on first generation.

Can the watermark be removed in a PDF editor? Stamps are flattened into the page image content, not added as removable annotations, so they are not editable without re-rendering the entire page in a paid tool. Combine with the Lead Capture Addon for a defensible audit trail.

Can I use it without the Lead Capture Addon? Yes. You can stamp with custom static text, IP, and timestamp without collecting reader details. Lead Capture only adds the per-reader name and email fields.
